Position: IT Audit Specialist
Location : Abbott Park, IL.
Provides in-depth technical expertise & direction in the development and support of client area application systems/programming requirements and processes (e.g. new, enhancements or maintenance), in the preparation of application system specifications, and in the development, testing, and implementation of efficient, cost effective application solutions.
Serve as technical expert or lead projects/programs and technical staff to develop, test and implement significant new products, or operational improvements or devise new approaches to problems at the division/business unit.
Conduct investigation activity/research and give technical advice to the adoption or integration of new technologies and their business impact.
Lead in the development of standards and procedures and publish/communicate findings via IOI’s, presentations, white papers, etc.
Review, validate & enhance design, conduct performance monitoring and capacity planning; install, test and upgrade releases and associated products.
Evaluate & recommend new software, utilities, and tools.
Set the strategy for implementing new technologies.
In specialized systems (i.e. SAP) effectively set options to change the way the program works (configuration responsibilities).
Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
Directs a development team for a major project, often utilizing a mix of various levels of analysts, responsible for subsystems of the overall project, directing the work of less experienced analysts and programmers. Draws on the ' expertise of technical resources within Abbott and outside vendors.
Accountable for total project scope, budget, completion within budget constraints and schedules completion date. Accountable for successful and timely completion of all tasks/projects under direct and matrix control. Post completion audit of project after implementation to verify expected benefits vs. costs, both development and operating. Project success is critical to the continued business success of the corporation.
Performs/Manages the review of security changes, clean up, user terminations and critical access for all in-scope SAP systems
Performs/Manages activities within the Access Control space of GRC. Including Emergency Access management reporting, recertification process, request aging, mitigation review and other daily tasks to maintain the environment. Access Control task cover three different production landscapes.
Performs/Manages activities around the various audit activities within the business units and the BTS organization. Manager activities for the various audit teams such Quality, Internal and External teams. Support/use third party tools to support audit activities.
Co-Own/manage Sox controls in the define tool being used by Abbott.
Performs/Manages activities around SAP license requirements. Such using Flexera to report on license utilization, cleanup of non-production based upon Flexera reports.
Performs/Manages the coordination of SAP license reporting on a quarterly basis and manage ad hoc reporting request by management.
Manage usage license inventory as required.
Bachelor’s Degree/ 7-10 years’ experience
