Abbott Finance (Senior) Analyst in Wavre, Belgium
Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC) is recruiting a (Senior) Financial Analyst Benelux.
The primary objective of the position is to provide financial planning, reporting, control and support to ADC Benelux as well as act as key financial adviser to the management teams.
More Specifically, the (Senior) Financial Analyst is responsible for:
Tracking and monitoring actual sales and margin performance. Preparing commentary and taking timely action to address variances
Managing and controlling department expenses and ensuring that month end process and accounting entries are accurately reflected
Working with commercial manager to prepare Plan, Update, S&OP, LBE’s and LRP forecasts. Reviewing and critically assessing assumptions for reasonableness
Proactively supporting the GM with analytical and commercial finance support
Participating in ADC initiatives for enhancement of business processes and financial effectiveness
Monitoring, and implementing controls within the ADC Benelux businesses, to ensure compliance with Abbott policies
Ensuring divisional adherence to all local / Corporate financial policies and procedures
Acting as lead for financial reporting tasks such as Daily sales, Sales forecasts, Month end flash reporting and Gap analysis.
Providing specific support in the BS, Capital, DSO and DOH planning & reporting activities.
Assisting Management through ad hoc reports and analysis in order to highlight risks and opportunities and to provide business related insights
Working to continually provide process improvements that benefit both/either our countries or Region North and providing improved efficiency and/or efficacy.
The required competencies/experiences for this Financial Analyst role are:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a Finance/Accounting related discipline. MBA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA desirable
Minimum 1-3 years of progressive experience within various Controlling, General Accounting, Commercial Finance or Operational positions; minimum 1 year of related work experience in a multinational environment (e.g. Business Accounting, Finance/Planning or Audit).
Highly analytical, with an eye for detail but always having in mind the big picture
Organization & Planning skills: able to work well under pressure and tight deadlines
Strong commitment, willing to take ownership of problems
Dynamic, motivated team player with a result oriented attitude
Must have excellent system skills, aptitude and experience, especially with Excel,
Fluency in English with a good level of French and Dutch
