The Software Lead will serve as the primary member of the cross functional team for software projects. The successful candidate will bring proactive leadership to the software team to drive projects to completion on time and with high quality by working collaboratively with tech lead peers to manage the work of the development team. Tasks include but are not limited to developing project schedules, authoring software development plans, contributing to the development of requirements and managing day-to-day progress of tasks while ensuring that development standards, policies and procedures are adhered to. The candidate will support a culture of quality and accountability on the team through proactive leadership and communication to managers peers and individual contributors.

Education/Experience/Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field

  • 10+ years experience in medical device software development projects through full lifecycle from design to deployment

  • Thorough understanding of IEC-62304 and IEC-62366 standards for medical device software development and usability testing

  • Thorough understanding of FDA Guidance documents related to medical device software development and cybersecurity

  • Experience with requirements management, traceability and defect tracking tools

  • Experience with Waterfall and Agile software development life cycle models IS REQUIRED

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrates a proactive approach to getting things done

  • MEDICAL DEVICE EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
