Abbott Diabetes Division is looking for a
Director Market Access EMEAP Diabetes Care (m/f/d)
based in Wiesbaden, Germany. The position reports directly to the Divisional Vice President Commercial Operations EMEAP.
Understand and model impact of price changes based on existing interdependencies of the markets. Align with countries on negotiation strategies. Structure and/or restructure local reimbursement schemes and shape local tender requirements in alliance with markets
Preempt expected price erosion leading the market to broader reimbursement – instead of matching prices. Build and maintain a pricing data base for sensor products across Europe
Establish new reimbursement codes & pathways for digital products in alliance with countries
Support and evolve local negotiation capabilities in reimbursement processes across Europe
Build preemptive work streams for upcoming cost containment challenges
Establish new contractual schemes by leveraging our key strengths
Build precedent in ‚beyond-MDI‘ indication via local pilots (use of real life data)
Advanced degree in business science or related fields. (Post)-graduate / doctorate degree in management, economics or science preferred
Sustained experience and proven results in the following areas: multiple years of experience in health care industry and successful track record in Market Access and Pricing
Experience in launching brea-through products / radical new innovations
Excellent negotiation skills, in particular with external parties such as governments, payers, health care professionals. Ability to multiplicate this skill set to local peers.
Analytical & strategic thinking
Leading change management processes and ability to build strategic plans /contingency plans in times of uncertainty
Strong presentation and communication skills
Strong project management skills
Excellent English language skills
Category experience (glucose monitoring) or experience in diabetes care.
Leading cross functional teams / international exposure.
Ideally international exposure through education and work within an international corporation
Experience of leading by influence in a matrix
High personal integrity and ethics required – leading a team by example Ability to take hands-on action
Intrinsically motivated to excel and capable of developing people
Ability to communicate a vision for a team, break it down to meaningful short, mid and long-term goals
