Abbot Diagnostics Division is looking for a

Finance Manager Export Operations (m/f/d)

The position is based in Wiesbaden, Germany. The Finance Manager, Export Operations is responsible for the Customer Service group, serving Direct Export customers of the European Distribution Center.

Major Accountabilities

  • Manage Order Fulfilment process for Direct Export customers – ensure timely and accurate processing of orders; and forwarding in line with scheduling expectations.

  • Oversee Credit Control process for Direct Export customers – work with Shared Service group to ensure efficient credit management, facilitate necessary actions with the commercial stakeholders to enable ability to ship (letters of credit, payment plans etc.)

  • Manage administration of Distributor contracts – ensure compliance and consistency – work with Legal and OEC

  • Oversee Accounting process for customer rebates and payments – work with Shared Service group and Financial Accountant to process timely and accurately customer commissions and charges.

  • Ensure compliance with Abbott accounting and ethics policies and procedures as relates to the work undertaken by the Export Operations group; and liaise with External and Internal Auditors as required regarding information requests.

  • Create an environment of continuous improvement; and lead the Customer Service team in development of ways to deliver better Customer Service. Work with key Abbott stakeholders to implement changes and enhancements as agreed.

  • Manage a team of Customer Service Representatives, Contract Administrators, and a Financial Accountant. Provide them with coaching, training, and development opportunities, and ensure that excellent standards are maintained in the team.

  • Effectively manage communication with multiple stakeholders (Diagnostic Division GM’s and Controllers, Affiliate personnel and Distribution Center management).

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business required

  • 8+ Years of Customer Service experience. International Divisional, Area or Affiliate experience preferred

  • Demonstrated track record of making improvement to Customer Service and/or Organizational efficiency

  • Good understanding of Internal Controls

  • Fluent in spoken and written English. Excellent oral and written communication skills, innovative thinking and problem-solving ability

  • Highly passionate and self-motivated individual who drives for success in a highly demanding but fulfilling work environment

  • Strong team player
