Financial Planning & Analysis Manager (m/f/d)
for Europe, MIddle East & Africa (EMEA) based in Wiesbaden, Germany. The position is reporting to the Area Controller EMEA.
The Abbott Molecular EMEA FP&A Manager leads a wide range of financial responsibilities in support of the Molecular business, providing key Financial Analytics, recommendations and collaborates with other business professionals to ensure the overall effectiveness of the Planning process including timeliness, accuracy and integrity; also leading specific monthly P&L and Balance sheet financial reporting, budget preparation, variance analysis and budget updates
Leads the financial planning process, develops and submits well-prepared and supported financial Plan, LBE’s (last best estimate) and business cases for the Area
Fosters an environment that systematically delivers comprehensive performance driven analytics and anticipates/responds to changes in the market
Provides financial expertise in evaluating and identifying the key issues and gaps in business performance and emerging business needs and delivering analysis that provides a foundation for management understanding and action
Effectively manages communication and understand cultural differences of the affiliates to ensure alignment with Area, Division and Corporate expectations
Responsible for assuring Area, Division and Corporate accounting and financial policies, procedures and practices are adhered to during operations. Maintain an effective system of internal financial controls
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required
MBA/CPA preferred but not required
Minimum Experience / Training Required: 7+ Years of finance/accounting experience. International Divisional, Area or Affiliate experience preferred. Experience supporting commercial group is a plus
Strong organization and communication skills as well as demonstrated ability to influence others are critical
Strong talent for crafting and presenting data driven analyses and insights to stakeholders of all levels and backgrounds. Ability to tailor communication style to various stakeholder sets, as well as effectively communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
Ability to operate independently, especially with data extraction and analysis
Experience with a global planning system for budget support
Driven to meet/exceed performance targets and motivate others to do so
