Abbott Diagnostics Division is looking for a

Marketing / Product Manager (f/m) Core Lab Diagnostics Europe, Middle East & Africa.

The position can be based out of Wiesbaden/Germany, Baar/Switzerland, Madrid/Spain.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage parts of the Abbott Diagnostics product portfolio consisting, as a whole, of Architect and Alinity laboratory instruments, AlinIQ Professional Services and Assays / Tests

  • Manage and deliver ongoing commercial activities including the creation of promotional campaigns, messages and programs, product knowledge support, and forecasting

  • Responsible for the external communication plan including messaging aligned with ADD’s value proposition, advertising and PR, with a new focus on digital channels

  • Plan and execute the marketing activities targeting specific customer segments and supporting the advancement of the sales cycle in collaboration with the commercial leadership

Main Accountabilities:

  • Own the marketing plan execution for the area of responsibility

  • Build and maintain successful partnerships with EMEA marketing team to ensure executional success and appropriate regionalization of global commercial strategy

  • Maintain close relationship with the regional Commercial Leadership, the Sales and Service organization

  • Analyze market trends, shares, competition; understand key stakeholders’ behaviors, manage KOLs

  • Manage the product lifecycle

  • Craft compelling messages across marketing channels (sales & service teams, expert societies, trade media, landing pages, account-based digital marketing, LinkedIn…)

  • Lead organization and delivery of key customer meetings, define novel agenda topics, select appropriate speakers / chairs, create required materials for events, measure impact

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred

  • Must have a minimum of 5+ years brand management, marketing or product management, communication, digital marketing or PR, or related work experience and equivalent

  • Experience in In Vitro Diagnostics preferred, alternatively in the Medical Devices or Pharmaceuticals Industry in similar roles

  • Demonstrated leadership behavior and project management skills

  • Willingness to accept challenging assignments and engage in relevant developmental activities, in a rapidly adapting environment

  • Experience in working in cross-functional, multi-national environments

  • Mastery of with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and familiarity with web-based applications. Knowledge of Salesforce.com is a plus

  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills

  • Demonstrated ability to identify issues and implement solutions, including identifying and involving the appropriate decision makers

  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and hold individuals accountable to deliverables; ability to achieve objectives and milestones without direct authority; ability to influence

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and adapt to shifting priorities and competing demands, and maintain composure in difficult circumstances
