Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC) is looking for a Product Manager Patient Relations & HCP Events (m/f), based in Wiesbaden. The Product Manager Patient Relations & HCP Events will be responsible for supporting short and long-term strategies targeting patient programs and tactics associated with the marketing of the FreeStyle umbrella brand in Germany with regards to patients.


  • Lead development and execution of marketing strategies and the development of programs and tactics with special focus on patients

  • Lead, coordinate and manage all marketing activities directed to and in cooperation with patient associations and/or self-help groups

  • Develop and/or assist in creating tools and programs for patients including but not limited to referral programs, tool kits for self-help groups

  • Own relationship and coordinate communication with bloggers, self-help groups, patient organization and other patient associations or ambassadors

  • Plan and implement key congresses, events, symposia and conferences for bloggers, patients and HCPs

  • Run patient events

  • Coordinate and/or assist in planning and development of communication for Healthcare Professionals and reimbursement related communication for key payers and other external customers

  • Development of selling, advertising and service materials for patients in close cooperation with sales for his area of responsibility

  • Manage new product introductions and act as product manager for certain product lines

  • Actively participate as a member of the cross-functional brand team, and closely collaborate with Market Access team, Sales, Commercial Excellence, Regulatory, Legal, and Medical Affairs

  • Coordinate and successfully manage key vendors and agencies to ensure project success

  • Develop and assess metrics to ensure successful program implementation and operation


  • Scientific Degree in Business/Marketing, Science or related fields

  • 3-5 years’ experience and successful track record in product management/marketing and relationship management of relevant stakeholders ideally of a medical device or pharmaceutical company

  • Experience in diabetes care or in the field of glucose monitoring

  • Sales experience

  • Ongoing Market and Competitive analysis

  • Prior experience managing marketing/advertising/promotional budgets

  • Excellent presentation, communication and motivational skills

  • Excellent PC skills (Microsoft Office, other)

  • Excellent Project Management skills

  • Excellent People Management skills

  • Excellent English skills

  • Travel up to 40%
