We are looking for a FP&A Manager Europe North

In close collaboration with the Regional Controller Europe North, the FP&A Manager Europe North is responsible for the overall operational discipline related to all Financial Planning and Analysis tasks in the respective country or region. He/she is in charge of coordinating a timely and correct delivery of all financial requirements in close collaboration with the commercial leadership in the region and the respective countries (Nordics, BeNeLux and UK/Ireland).

In addition to the above base deliveries, the FP&A Manager acts as trusted business partner at all commercial levels

of the organization and is focused on measurable value creation within his area of responsibility. This includes a high focus on the bottom-line for all of his/her tasks as well as project work which systematically drives the improvement of the bottom-line.

Finally, the FP&A Manager is constantly committed to simplification and standardization. He/she helps his/her organization to reach these goals, while ensuring that non-value-adding tasks are systematically eliminated rather than shifted. To achieve these goals, the FP&A Manager closely collaborates with the European Headquarter FP&A group and the Abbott Shared Services Organization (SSO).

Primary objective of the position

  • Responsible for the coordination of the timely and high-quality submission of all financial requests, utilizing the Abbott reporting tools. Ensure strong operational discipline for all finance-driven processes across the organization.

  • Provide decision support data to management, enabling them to drive fact-based decision-making for regional andnational leadership.

  • Provide ongoing standard analysis on all levels of the P/L, mainly revenue, margin and operating expenses. Thepredominant focus should be on forward-looking analysis and risks/opportunities.

  • Beyond the standard, proactively drive new ways of looking at the results and commitments. Closely collaborate withthe entire organization to drive value creation through FP&A work. Also identify specific projects together with theregional controller to further drive value creation.

  • Act as true business partner across the whole organization. Be perceived as a “go-to” person, while also being veryreflected on the key priorities for the organization and the function.

  • Support the regional controller on specific interface tasks within the Abbott Matrix (Shared Services Organization,Customer Service, Operations, etc.) as well as with broader controllership tasks (e.g. data support for audits andStatutory closes)

Educational background and Work Experience

  • B.A. or Masters Degree.

  • Similar work experience of at least 3 years in an international corporate environment is critical to be successful.

  • Prior experiences should have been gained in product-related industries, preferably in a Sales & Marketing context. MedTech industry experience is a plus.

  • Proven mastery on large data handling and tool-driven data analysis. Strong experiences on Excel and an establisheddata-cube system (Hyperion, etc.). SAP capabilities are a plus.

  • Prior experience of delivering complex data sets within given deadlines, while having strong informal influence skillstowards the commercial partners who need to provide the input.

  • Visible passion for change management.

  • Fluent (spoken and written) in English.

  • Team player within a matrix organization design.
