Abbott Manager External Communications EMEA in Zaventem, Belgium

  • Leads the designated EMEA team to develop and execute measurable, multi-channel communications strategies and sales enabling campaigns to support the commercialization of Abbott solutions for the Cardiac Arrhythmia and Heart Failure division.

  • Create, lead and execute initiatives to enhance the sales enablement communications and tools for the regional sales organization.

  • Builds relationships with key country leadership teams in order to effectively execute marketing communications programs in support of country specific and global Abbott priorities.

  • Develops a deep understanding Abbott Cardiac Arrhythmia and Heart Failure products and the diseases these solutions address, and the customers and patients who benefit from our solutions. Develop an understanding of competitor products, marketing and promotional programs and the nuances of different geographies and selling divisions to ensure communication campaigns enable the sales organizations.

  • Leads the EMEA Congress & events team and steers content strategy for regional meetings, maintaining matrices for messaging and graphics.

  • Works with booth vendor to design, develop and build booth for agreed congresses.

  • Accountable for delivery of the campaign management process from kickoff to regular (monthly or quarterly) data reports and updates that encompasses budget and measurable results.

  • Works with hotels, event venues, audio-visual vendors and others to plan and execute large-scale internal and customer meetings

  • Accountable for budget management and regular (monthly or quarterly) reporting of campaign results and the implementation of best practices to ensure ongoing efficiencies.

  • Works collaboratively across the company to ensure plans and activities are coordinated and integrated. Complies with regulatory bodies’ regulations, other regulatory agency requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.

  • Hires, develops and retains a diverse, highly qualified staff and provides ongoing performance feedback. Maintains a safe and professional work environment.

  • Supervise vendors and contractors as needed for different projects and programs.

  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.
