For this site we are currently looking for a strong Team Manager Maintenance.

About the job

The Maintenance Manager reports into the Manager Engineering & Maintenance and is responsible for all production related maintenance activities for the site. He or she improves the short, medium and long-term effectiveness and quality of the technical production equipment and ensures that this equipment is available for full use for the maximum amount of time possible against the appropriate cost in a sustainable manner.

The Team Manager Maintenance manages a team of 5 - 7 Professionals and has a responsibility for 5 million Maintenance spent.

The ideal candidate for this vacancy has the ability and develop to the position of Manager Engineering & Maintenance, Production Manager or beyond.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • To ensure the maintenance department provides up-to-standard technical services to production, against the lowest possible cost and in a sustainable way, while promoting company’s values and strategic pillars. To ensure functional support to maintenance activities is operational groups are up-to-standard

  • Maintenance: oManage and improve the maintenance and improvement program for all the present and new (machine) equipment of the Zwolle site. oDevelop and implement a reliable program for preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment.oLiaise closely with the Technology and Engineering group to contribute / execute technical and innovative (capital) projects. Ensure support and participation by the department.

  • Maintenance department.oDefine, propose and implement objectives and best practices within the department.oFollow up, regularly review and improve departmental work methods, procedures and organization.oDevelop the long term plan for technical replacements (LRP).oCommunicate to management the results and developments achieved by the department.

  • Outsourced ActivitiesoAct as the Abbott lead for the outsourced activities related to equipment maintenance.oEnsure appropriate controls are in place, and monitored, so that any outsourced activity is executed in accordance with all Abbott requirements.

  • Assure continuous improvementoDecides and prioritizes on continuous improvement actions for the maintenance activities. oInitiate and implement improvement actions projects at department level.

Desired profile

  • Bachelor degree and/or Master degree in technology, engineering or other relevant disciplines.

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in Process Industry or Packaging industry as a Technical Departmental Manager or Project Manager, preferably in a food production or pharmaceutical production environment.

  • A teamplayer, able to anticipate, innovate en collaborate and with the ability to develop further within the company.

  • A leader who coaches our people to enable them maximize their full potential & contribution to the Organization.

  • Somebody with organizational awareness, empathy and an energetic personality

  • Fluently in Dutch and English, both oral and written
